Kate Douglas is a theatre-music-plant person who is passionate about creating work that invites audiences to return from dissociation into embodiment. Her writing and arrangements have been performed at The Met Cloisters, Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub and The McKittrick Hotel and developed at SPACE on Ryder Farm, The Orchard Project, New Victory Theater, Rhinebeck Musicals, The National Theater Institute and the Writer’s Colony at Goodspeed. She is a Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project Fellow and a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. She is currently a 2019-2020 Dramatists Guild Fellow, a 2020 Sokoloff Arts Fellow and a member of The Civilians R&D Group.
